Where We Will Be During SF Beer Week
If you’ve seen our work with Street Vets, it should come as no surprise that the eStreet.co team is a bunch of animal lovers. When it came to being able to write about world famous San Francisco Beer Week, there was one event that was clearly a standout: Lucky 13’s Dog Day Afternoon.
Pints and Puppers
The event was created by a local beer sales rep who bemoaned the amount of time she had to spend away from her beloved puppy during beer week festivities. She wanted to create an event for beer enthusiasts to be able to enjoy specialty beer while hanging with their four-legged friends, and she went a step further to include Rocket Dog Rescue for a day of adoptions and fundraising for the local charity. Now in its eighth year, Dog Day Afternoon, promises to be extra special! Lucky 13 is partnering with Lincoln-based Slice Beer Co to bring beers rarely seen in the Bay Area to this event. If the brewery’s name sounds familiar to you, there is a reason— founded by Moonraker Brewing’s former head brewer (and Pliny the Younger slayer), Zack Frasher, and Old Town Pizza’s marketing director, Russ Yeager, Slice Beer Co, has been creating quite a stir.

Where to Find Us the Rest of the Week
San Francisco Beer Week, while notably the largest compilation of craft beer events in Nor Cal, is obviously more than one day, so here is the short list of our other favorite events for the week.
Thoughtful People, Thoughtful Beer: SANTE ADAIRIUS RUSTIC ALES
Isn’t it great to see nice guys finish first? The nicest people we know in the beer industry happen to be Beth and Craig Wathen, owners of famed City Beer Store, so it only makes sense that they share the night with the nicest brewery folks ever, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales.
Feb 8, 6-10pm
At City Beer Store, 1148 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
Pinballs and Pints
Whether you’re a beer lover, a pinball wizard, a history buff, or just someone who enjoys discovering new places to play, this annual event is one of our favorites! Enjoy delicious local beers while exploring the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda. Entry includes beer tastings and free play on over 100 machines, and the proceeds directly benefit the museum.
Feb 9, 2-6pm
At Pacific Pinball Museum, 1510 Webster St, Alameda, CA 94501
826 Valencia Presents: Books, Beers & Buccaneers
While we love, books, beers and buccaneers as much as the next guy, our real love for this event comes out of our love for its beneficiary. 826 Valencia is a San Francisco-based non-profit dedicated to supporting under-resourced students (ages 6-18) with their creative and expository writing skills.
Feb 11, 6-8pm
At The Bindery 1727 Haight Street San Francisco, CA 94117
Cafe van Kleef Greyhound Beer Release Party
Okay. Paint us curious. The legendary Cafe van Kleef greyhound that we’ve enjoyed more-nights-than-is-prudent-to-number is now available in beer form? We’ll be there.
Feb 13, 5pm-close
At Woods Bar & Brewery, 1701 Telegraph Ave Oakland, CA 94612
Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Play Date
If you haven’t attended an event with the Sisters, we feel a little sorry for you. But, don’t worry, you have a great opportunity this beer week. The charitable order of queer and trans nuns responsible for the annual easter extravaganza (which includes, of course, the Hunky Jesus Contest) will be at the Good Hop for a game night to end all game nights. Proceeds to benefit their general fund to support their mission and the community.
Feb 15, 4-7pm
At The Good Hop, 2421 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA 94612
